Also, we update this page manually multiple times during the day so that you get UPDATED rates. However, the market might change faster than we can manually update — so you may not get the freshest rates every time! But we will try hard to give you updated rates daily!

Buying Rate: This is for you if you (as an individual) have dollars and you want to exchange it for Naira from BDC agents, banks, or fintech. Also, note, the higher the rate, the better!

Selling Rate: This is for you if you (as an individual) want to buy dollars from someone (maybe a BDC agent) or a platform (banks or fintech) that wants to sell the dollars. Also, note, the lower the rate, the better!

CBN Official Rate:

1 USD ($) to Naira (₦) (Selling rate): 1387.4475 (This is the NFEM rate)

Note: CBN updates its daily rates very late in the day – around 5pm! Also, CBN only updates its rates from Monday to Friday!

Parallel/Black Market Rate Today:

1 USD ($) to Naira (₦) (Buying rate): Between 1,385 – 1,405

1 USD ($) to Naira (₦) (Selling rate): Between 1,405 – 1,425

Note: One thing you should know about black market rates is that it depends largely on your negotiation skills! Also, note that the rates you get depend on the location where you go to! Some locations generally give better rates than others! But before you agree with any BDC agent, check out multiple agents to try getting better rates if possible!

Also, you could get a lower rate than these in the market — or even a better rate if your negotiation skills is top notch! So the information here is only for reference!
