AI won't replace you, but it DOES make your boss believe it can!

Many skilled professionals are freaking scared that AI will replace them, but there is good news and bad news!

The good news? "It absolutely can't - yet."

The bad news? Many CEOs and decision makers believe it can, and they act based on that belief!

I have seen many freelancers get replaced with AI tools, but it's quite fortunate & unfortunate that AI absolutely can not yet replace a real professional - irrespective of their niche!

But what does happen is that CEOs and decision makers in companies believe otherwise! They think these AI tools are good enough to replace talent, and that's where the actual problem lies - and many just use them to cut costs using AI as an excuse.

A CEO once told me, "Well, maybe AI might not fully replace them, but it does a decent job at a fraction of the cost."

This is a form of enshittification of the internet that AI causes!

A decent job? Maybe! But compared to the quality of work of real professionals! It isn't even a competition!

So next time you want to fret, maybe pray your boss doesn't join the bandwagon of AI enshittification! Because AI really can't become a human!

AI is at best - an assistant, and should absolutely be treated as such - not as an actual replacement!
