Salary/Pay: ₦550,000 per month
Experience: 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, PLC programming, and HMI/SCADA
Education: B.Eng in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering
Skills Required:
- PLC and industrial protocols: hands-on expertise with major PLC platforms and industrial communication protocols
- Control systems: experience with industrial automation and control systems, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA architectures
- Programming: ability to develop control logic, configure HMIs, and program automation software for field operations and process control
- Instrumentation: ability to work with P&IDs, loop diagrams, and field instrumentation specifications
- Testing and commissioning: experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and field commissioning
- Troubleshooting: ability to diagnose and resolve issues with control hardware, PLCs, sensors, and communication networks
- Documentation: ability to prepare technical specifications, I/O lists, control narratives, and operational documentation

Selex Engineering and Construction Company Nigeria Limited, an oil and gas sector company, is hiring an Automation Engineer to support and lead the engineering, design, and implementation of industrial automation and control systems. Your work will include:
- Supporting and leading the engineering, design, and implementation of industrial automation and control systems, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA architectures
- Developing control logic, configuring HMIs, and programming automation software for field operations and process control
- Working with P&IDs, loop diagrams, and field instrumentation specifications
- Participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and the field commissioning of automated systems
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with industrial control hardware, PLCs, sensors, and communication networks to minimise downtime
- Preparing technical specifications, I/O lists, control narratives, and operational documentation
