Salary/Pay: From ₦500,000 per month
Experience: Mid-level, minimum of 3 years of hands-on software testing or QA experience. Fintech or payment-system experience is strongly preferred. Education: Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Skills Required:
- Manual testing: test design, functional, regression, and exploratory testing, and UAT support
- API testing with Postman or equivalent (request/response validation, authentication, callbacks, error handling)
- Database testing with SQL (transaction records, balances, ledger entries)
- Practical knowledge of at least one automation framework: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium
- Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6
- Defect management in Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent
- Log analysis, HTTP status codes, API payloads, and basic debugging
- Fintech knowledge: payment flows, transaction states, reversals, reconciliation, fees, and settlement
- Security awareness: access control, sensitive data protection, common web and API vulnerabilities
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and documentation (test plans, test cases, defect reports, QA sign-off reports)
Advantage: Software testing or QA certifications; experience with payment processing, banking platforms, wallets, POS, switching or reconciliation.

Belema Fintech is hiring a QA Engineer to plan, design, execute, and maintain testing across its applications, APIs, payment platforms, integrations, and backend systems. You will work with Product, Engineering, DevOps, Information Security, Operations, and external integration partners to catch defects early and make sure releases meet quality standards. Your work will include:
- Testing payment gateway flows, including successful, failed, pending, reversed, timed-out, and duplicate transactions
- Testing transaction switching, virtual accounts, transfers, POS/SoftPOS terminals, mobile banking, USSD and wallets
- Testing REST APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations
- Validating financial data in databases, including settlement and reconciliation
- Running security, performance, and load tests
- Logging and tracking defects, and supporting release readiness and post-deployment checks
