Pinterest has expanded access to its advertising inventory through a new programmatic buying solution, allowing advertisers to purchase its display and video placements through established third-party advertising platforms.

Announced on October 26, 2026, the initiative enables enterprise advertisers to include Pinterest ads in wider media campaigns without managing separate buying processes specifically for the platform.

The solution, called Programmatic Deals, is supported by advertising technology company Magnite and connects Pinterest inventory to demand-side platforms, including Amazon Ads DVA+, Google Display and Video 360, Yahoo DSP and DeepIntent.

Partnership Expands Advertiser Access

The arrangement allows marketers to buy selected Pinterest ad placements alongside other digital advertising inventory through platforms they already use for campaign planning, purchasing and measurement.

Magnite serves as the primary supply-side partner, connecting Pinterest’s advertising inventory and audience signals to buying platforms. Pinterest also works with Google Ad Manager in Latin America and Asia Pacific to broaden programmatic access in those markets.

Pinterest said the initiative is designed to help advertisers reach consumers while they are exploring products, interests and potential purchases.

Jason Fairchild, Pinterest’s general manager of programmatic and affiliate, said the offering would help brands use consumer intent across existing media-buying systems and connect discovery with measurable results.

Campaign Reports Show Potential Benefits

Pinterest cited a June 2026 campaign by beauty brand Moroccanoil as an example of the approach.

The campaign used a programmatic deal enabled by Magnite and Amazon Ads to include Pinterest in a wider video and display advertising strategy. According to Pinterest, the campaign achieved 15% incremental reach with just 1% audience overlap.

The company also reported 63% more new-to-brand buyers among users whose purchase journeys included Pinterest, while the campaign’s click-through rate was 20% higher than the brand’s average for video and display advertising.

These figures were reported by Pinterest and relate to the specific campaign.

Pinterest Highlights Its Commercial Audience

Pinterest said its platform now reaches 640 million monthly active users and generates more than 80 billion searches each month, with more than half having commercial intent.

The company also reported that over 96% of text searches on the platform are unbranded, indicating that many users explore ideas and products before settling on a particular brand.

For advertisers, this audience behaviour could provide opportunities to introduce products to potential customers earlier in the purchasing process.

Programmatic Deals are currently available in North America, South America, and Asia Pacific. Advertisers interested in using the service can contact their Pinterest sales representatives for access.

The expansion gives Pinterest another route to attract advertising demand by making its inventory easier to incorporate into broader digital campaigns.
