Description:
QuickMail is hiring a technical customer support person with an owner's mentality to own support for QuickMail and Mailflow, its deliverability add-on. There is no first or second line: you are the first and last person customers talk to. Most tickets involve deliverability, DNS records, LinkedIn automation, or campaign setup. You work closely with engineering and the founder, and feed back where the product has friction and opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working the Help Scout queue, resolving tickets and digging into root causes in the Support Dashboard
- Checking system health daily (job queue, event-stream latency, blacklist status, new domains)
- Reviewing fraud alerts and disabling scam or abusive accounts
- Jumping on calls with customers, updating the changelog and help articles, and collecting reviews and case studies
- Improving the AI support agent and writing AI-built automated tests that try to break staging
- Testing weekly releases on staging and approving them before they ship
- Reporting bugs as GitHub issues with clear reproduction steps
- Leading red alerts when core features break, including status page updates every 30 minutes and a retrospective afterwards
- Running the weekly team meeting and keeping KPIs current in MonsterOps
The founder describes his style as intense (short, sometimes harsh replies, changing direction, fast interruptions), and says the role suits someone with high emotional intelligence. Schedules are flexible, with occasional weekend help asked in return.
