Experience: 2+ years designing, securing, and managing large cloud environments in AWS, Azure, or GCP. 

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer, or an equivalent cloud certification 
• 2+ years with AWS core services (networking, compute, storage, load balancing, monitoring, automation) and AWS IAM
• Strong understanding of AWS networking: CIDR, routing, DNS, security controls, Transit Gateway, and VPC connectivity
• 2+ years developing Terraform modules or other infrastructure as code
• 2+ years building or supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or similar, plus Git workflows
• 2+ years of scripting in Python (preferred), PowerShell, or Bash
• 3+ years in two or more of: AWS Organizations and Control Tower, advanced AWS networking, GitHub Actions or CI/CD administration, or cloud observability, security, or regulated environments
• Experience implementing cloud controls aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2.0, or FedRAMP Moderate
• Familiarity with CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Datadog, and 2+ years in ITSM and change management processes
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills, and clear written and verbal communication

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure across all environments, keeping it available and performing well
• Designing, deploying, and securing multi-account AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
• Building AWS networking with VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, PrivateLink and VPC Endpoints
• Developing reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, including self-hosted runners
• Troubleshooting incidents, applying patches, validating backups and optimising for performance and cost
• Administering identity federation, authentication and privileged access controls
• Enforcing governance standards such as account management, tagging and compliance
• Using AI-assisted tools to build reusable automation
• Writing architecture diagrams, Terraform standards, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and disaster recovery documentation
