[Solved] How to stay consistent in the course of your tech journey

A lot of people come to me, and they want to learn tech or digital skills! But unfortunately, over 90% of them are not consistent. So I rarely hear back from most. So, this is a very good question.

Here are some tips:

1. Be clear about why you started. Whether you want a better career, better job, freelance opportunities, or you just want something that will make you earn much more, remind yourself of that reason often. It will keep you motivated when learning gets difficult. 

2. Set small, realistic goals. Instead of saying, "I willl learn everything this month," try to learn step by step, lesson by lesson, build one small project, or study for an hour each day. Small wins add up.

3. Create a study routine. You don't have to study for 8 hours daily. Even 30–60 minutes every day is better than studying for 10 hours once a week.

4. Practice more than you learn. It's easy to spend hours watching tutorials, but real learning happens when you actually build something or solve problems yourself.

5. Don't compare yourself to others. Everyone learns at a different pace. Focus on becoming better than you were yesterday, not on catching up with someone who started years before you.

6. Expect challenges. Feeling confused or stuck is normal. Every experienced freelancer has gone through it. Don't let difficult challenges make you quit. Na who give up fuck up. 

7. Build projects/work samples. Even simple projects/work samples help you apply what you've learned and give you something to showcase when looking for internships or real jobs. This will make you have proper case studies to present to clients, and you better beleive that in 2026, clients definitely want proof that you can do the job.

8. Stay patient. At the end of everything, this is perhaps the most crucial. Consistency over months is far more valuable than intense effort for just a few days. Be patient with learning, and also be patient whilst looking for your big break.
