- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services using Node.js and Express.js
- Developing secure, high-performance APIs and backend systems
- Building and integrating with third-party APIs and external services
- Designing and optimising database structures in MongoDB, and implementing caching with Redis
- Collaborating with the Product, Design, Frontend Engineering, and DevOps teams
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and taking part in code reviews
- Monitoring system performance and improving reliability, scalability, and security
