Experience: 3+ years of practical experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure installation, and systems administration
Skills Required:
- OND, HND or BSc in Computer Science, IT, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience with MikroTik, Cisco, Ubiquiti (UniFi) or similar enterprise networking gear
- Structured cabling skills (Cat6/Cat6A, crimping, punch-downs, trunking and line testing)
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and routing protocols
- Experience with network security, backups, and disaster recovery
- Helpdesk and user support skills on Windows and Linux
- Comfort working in both offices and active industrial or agricultural farm facilities
- Advantageous: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or MikroTik certifications

TQ Farms Nigeria Ltd is looking for a skilled, proactive IT Specialist to design, install, deploy, and maintain its end-to-end IT network infrastructure. The aim is seamless connectivity, strong network security, and reliable uptime across its production facilities, offices, and processing plants. You would be the core technical expert, from pulling cabling and configuring routers to managing servers, Wi-Fi access points and surveillance systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and installing LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks, structured cabling, patch panels, and server racks
- Configuring and maintaining routers, managed switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, NAS, and UPS power backup
- Doing regular maintenance and monitoring, and fixing connectivity, bandwidth and hardware issues
- Implementing firewalls, VPNs, VLAN segmentation, anti-virus protection and access control policies
- Installing and managing CCTV/NVR systems, access control and IP monitoring hardware across farm sites
- Providing helpdesk support, setting up workstations and managing user credentials
- Maintaining local and cloud backups and disaster recovery
