Skills Required:
- PHP: strong practical PHP skills (mandatory), including object-oriented programming, dependency management with Composer, and experience with a mainstream PHP framework or a substantial existing PHP codebase
- Web and databases: working proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL, plus REST APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, and Linux-based application environments
- Engineering practices: evidence of secure coding, debugging, automated testing, peer review, and controlled deployment
- Codebase maintenance: ability to understand unfamiliar code and maintain existing applications
- Portfolio: a strong practical development portfolio

StreSERT Integrated Limited is hiring a PHP Software Development Officer to analyse user needs and develop, test, maintain, and support secure applications that improve the company's registry and business operations. You will apply strong PHP skills to the company's environment, integrations, portals, and internal tools, working within vendor support arrangements and approved change controls. Your work will include:
- Working with users to analyse processes, document requirements and acceptance criteria, and identify practical automation and service improvements
- Developing and maintaining PHP applications, services, and integrations, and building web interfaces and APIs with robust input validation and error handling
- Investigating registry-related application and integration issues, coordinating resolution with vendor support, and maintaining approved interfaces and tools around CoCCA
- Supporting registrar onboarding and integration testing, and building working knowledge of domain lifecycle operations, DNS, and EPP
- Using Git, peer review, and automated tests, and conducting integration, regression, and user acceptance testing before release
- Applying secure development practices and preparing deployment and rollback plans with change approval
- Investigating performance and reliability issues using logs and monitoring
- Maintaining technical documentation, API specifications, runbooks, and release notes, and providing agreed application support and user training
Performance will be assessed on sprint commitments accepted on time, code review and test coverage, release approval and rollback planning, incident response within service levels, security finding remediation, application availability, and documentation upkeep.
