Description:

Standard Life Organization is looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Head of Information Technology & Digital Transformation to lead its technology strategy and drive digital transformation across the business. The company wants an independent thinker who can understand the business, spot opportunities, propose solutions and lead their implementation, helping Standard Life become a more automated, secure, data-driven and scalable financial-services organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing the IT and digital transformation strategy
  • Leading the testing, implementation and optimisation of a new financial-services platform
  • Digitising and automating manual processes across Credit, Operations, Finance, HR, Audit and other functions
  • Driving digital lending, customer onboarding, verification and system-integration initiatives
  • Building management dashboards and business intelligence for real-time decision-making
  • Strengthening cybersecurity, data protection, access controls, backup and disaster recovery
  • Managing IT infrastructure, systems, vendors and technology projects
  • Establishing IT governance, policies, controls and documentation
  • Evaluating opportunities in AI, automation and emerging technologies

First-year priorities are core platform implementation, process automation, management dashboards, cybersecurity, digital lending, IT governance, system integration, business continuity and technology-driven operational improvements.

Candidates whose experience is mainly in IT support, hardware maintenance, and troubleshooting will not be considered a fit for this role.

How to Apply:
Submit the following:

  1. Your CV
  2. A short cover letter
  3. A Technology Transformation Statement (maximum two pages) answering: "If appointed to lead technology and digital transformation in a growing Nigerian financial-services organisation, what would you examine during your first 90 days, and what improvements would you expect to introduce?" The statement should also briefly identify three significant technology or digital-transformation projects you have personally led or materially contributed to, and the results achieved.

Note: The statement must reflect your own professional judgement and original thinking. Generic or AI-generated submissions will not be considered.
